Los Banos Early Education Center

Los Banos, CA

Project Overview

Dedicated campus creates an engaging, supportive environment for early learning.

After evaluating options for expanding the District’s TK programming, LBUSD opted to build a consolidated Early Education Center instead of adding site-specific facilities at existing schools. To open the center as quickly as possible, the District went with an all-modular design, partnering with AMS to create a dedicated 34,080-SF campus customized to provide a modern, supportive environment for Pre-K-to-TK students. Six new AMS FORM buildings—five classroom buildings and an admin/MPR building—add 15 TK and 4 preschool classrooms, as well as restrooms, workrooms and student services space. Materials and features are safe and child-friendly, with bright colors, durable finishes and child-sized fixtures. Large windows bring in natural light and provide clear sightlines to secure outdoor play areas.

  • Spacious, open classrooms flex for a mix of hands-on learning and play activities
  • Code-compliant, age-appropriate fixtures support child comfort and development
  • Replicating building design and a unified color palette create a cohesive campus
