Project Overview
Bright colors and sunny spaces create a fun environment for early learners.
A new early learning center was a long-time dream for the Guadalupe School District. AMS partnered with GUSD to make it a reality, pairing two 144×40 AMS FORM buildings to create a new modular campus for preschool and TK students. AMS adapted a Pre-Check design to meet District needs and replicated it for both buildings, expediting DSA approval to secure essential funding. Each building is configured to optimize space with two sets of 24×40 classrooms—four per building—adjoining a central vestibule and supported by two workrooms and six restrooms. The child-friendly design has fun colors inside and out, with sunlight streaming through motorized operable windows, Solatubes and glass-front doors. Hardie cement boards align horizontally to architecturally enhance the hybrid stucco facade.
- A robust power infrastructure supports modern technology for early learning
- Window glazing and 7’ front overhangs save energy and ensure interior comfort
- Door viewlites and sidelites provide clear sightlines outdoors for supervised play
