Project Overview
GEN7 STEAM and TK Buildings blend modular efficiency and elevated style
Kenwood’s new classroom buildings are a major milestone for a smaller district committed to providing future-ready facilities for its TK-6 students. The bond-funded project adds one 30’ x 32’ classroom and one 50’ x 32’ STEAM classroom in Phase I and one 50’ x 32’ TK classroom in Phase II, with restrooms and storage in both phases. The project team intentionally leveraged AMS’ proven GEN7 platform, upgrading materials and finishes to create a custom identity while lowering energy costs, increasing natural light and enhancing durability. Specialized storefront assemblies work with solar tubes to maximize daylighting, an energy-efficient upgrade that also improves health and comfort. Low-maintenance exteriors are designed to perform reliably, with AMS’ hybrid stucco system aesthetically enhanced with Hardie plank lap siding.
