Rocketship’s space-efficient two-story makes the most of a tight site.

RBM’s expansion plan called for the school to broaden capacity from a K-2 to a TK-5 facility. AMS’ two-story, two-wing design maximizes square footage on a shared site, blending sustainable features and innovative architectural details in a compact footprint. Low-VOC materials, high-efficiency HVAC systems and abundant daylighting create a healthy, energy-efficient environment providing fluidity of movement from one learning activity to another. The distinctive exterior reflects the personality of a vibrant learning community, painted in Rocketship’s signature colors of green and purple. A prominent entry features wide expanses of glass, cement board lap siding and metal awnings—upgrades echoed in a custom slat design along the balcony.
