Project Overview
Revitalized campus blends new buildings with existing to create a cohesive aesthetic.
A large-scale modernization delivered 21st century learning space to meet the educational needs of Aviara Oak students while seamlessly integrating contemporary new facilities into an established campus. AMS partnered with Carlsbad USD to design and build two 4,800-SF AMS FORM buildings, adding nine standard classrooms, as well as restrooms and dedicated space for custodial and electrical. AMS customized building exteriors, value-engineering the design to save on costs while elevating finishes to emulate existing site-built structures. Both buildings are upgraded with storefront windows and Sarnafil Décor standing seam metal roofing, smart choices that balance performance and cost while maintaining a cohesive campus aesthetic—key goals for the District.
- Sarnafil Décor roofing is edged with Sarnaclad to match surrounding buildings
- Large, open classrooms use natural lighting to create an optimized environment
- Furbo wallboard is an eco-friendly upgrade that enhances modern learning
