Project Overview
Stepped-up design blends flexibility and functionality to meet ELOP needs
The growth of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program created the need for a new ELOP center on the edge of the Pleasant View Elementary campus. AMS partnered with Pleasant View ESD and AOR Mangini Associates to build the new Learning Center, delivering a 4,320-SF AMS FORM building that houses two open classrooms—a large 48’x40’ classroom and a standard 24’x40’ classroom—as well as offices, restrooms, storage room and janitorial space. The classrooms are bright and multifunctional, with casework and built-in sinks accommodating a variety of learning activities and glass NanaWalls bringing in natural light, fresh air and outdoor views. The exterior is designed to blend aesthetically with existing buildings, upgraded with Eldorado Stone veneer wainscoting over earth-toned hybrid stucco.
- Open, well-lit classrooms support both traditional and hands-on learning
- Sliding glass NanaWalls add interior/exterior flexibility to fit program needs
- Elevated stucco/stone exterior meets a high standard of quality and durability
